All
Aluminum Conductor (AAC) |
|
Features
It is the first choice of aluminum conductor
for its benefit in the urban distribution
system where the spacing is short and supports
are close.
Specificatons
A conductor is made up of number of all
aluminum wires twisted together in concentric
layers. When the conductor consists of more
than one layer successive layers are twisted
in opposite direction.

Aluminum
Conductor Steel Reinforced (ACSR) Conductor |
|
Features
The ACSR conductor is manufactured with the
galvanised steel wires as center core to give
added strength and for obtaining a high strength
to weight ratio. The principal advantage of
ACSR conductor is high tensile strength with
longer spans as well as lesser supports.
Specifications
The ACSR conductor consists of seven or
more wire built up in concentric layers.
The center wire or wires are of galvanised
steel and the outer layers are of aluminum
wires.

All Aluminum Alloy Conductor (AAAC) |
|
Features
This conductor is manufactured of aluminum
alloy rod (aluminum, magnesium, silicon type).
AAAC exhibits excellent corrosion resistance,
homogeneous, higher ampacity, longer life,
surface hardness, thermal stability and higher
strength to weight ratio as compared to AAC
and ACSR conductor.
Specifications
The conductor is made of three or more aluminum
alloy wires of the same nominal diameter
twisted together in concentric layers consisting
of more than one layers. Successive layers
are twisted in opposite directions.
